The SDN-ready MX2020 3D Universal Edge Router is the highest capacity edge router in the industry, delivering 80 Tbps of system capacity.

With up to 32 Tbps of bidirectional throughput today, the MX2020 supports 1,920 10GbE interfaces, 480 40GbE interfaces, or 320 100GbE interfaces in a single chassis. Additionally, the MX2020 supports sophisticated timing and virtualization capabilities that meet the stringent requirements of mobile services.

The MX2020 ensures the highest levels of network availability with a comprehensive set of resiliency features that include N+1 fabric redundancy, control plane redundancy, N+N power feed redundancy, and even N+1 power supply module redundancy. In addition, Virtual Chassis technology supports chassis-level redundancy while allowing users to manage two routers as a single element.
